  22.    <code class="command">ALTER PROCEDURE</code> changes the definition of a

  23.    procedure.

  26.    To change a procedure's schema, you must also have <code class="literal">CREATE</code>

  27.    privilege on the new schema.

  28.    To alter the owner, you must also be a direct or indirect member of the new

  29.    owning role, and that role must have <code class="literal">CREATE</code> privilege on

  30.    the procedure's schema.  (These restrictions enforce that altering the owner

  31.    doesn't do anything you couldn't do by dropping and recreating the procedure.

  117.    This statement is partially compatible with the <code class="command">ALTER

  118.    PROCEDURE</code> statement in the SQL standard. The standard allows more

  119.    properties of a procedure to be modified, but does not provide the

  120.    ability to rename a procedure, make a procedure a security definer,

  121.    attach configuration parameter values to a procedure,

  122.    or change the owner, schema, or volatility of a procedure. The standard also

  123.    requires the <code class="literal">RESTRICT</code> key word, which is optional in

  124.    <span class="productname">PostgreSQL</span>.
